අහිමි මල

ජීවන ගංගාවේ ඔරුවක නැග

දිරිය නම් හබලින්

දිය පහර මැඩගෙන

අරමුණ කරා ඔරුව යාත්‍රා කරන අතර

හමුවන බොහෝ දේ රැස් කරගෙන

මරණින් කෙළවර වන මේ දිවියේ

සුන්දර නවාතැනක මා හද නතර වී ඇත

තැනිතලා යායේ පිපි සුන්දර මල

නෙලාගන්නට ම‍ට අවසර නැතුවා සේය

හැම මොහොතක් පාසාම මම අහිමි මලකට

සුසුම් හෙළමි.............
